Leather Care

To help your bag age beautifully and preserve its structure, color, and craftsmanship, follow these care recommendations. The durable canvas, organic cotton lining, and leather accents are designed to withstand regular use when treated with proper care.

Care Instructions:

Routine Cleaning:
Gently brush away loose dust or dirt with a soft, dry cloth. For the lining, lightly shake out or spot-clean as needed. Avoid abrasive tools or harsh detergents that may damage the print or fibers.

Spot Cleaning:
For marks on the canvas, clean the area with a mild soap solution and a cloth lightly dampened with cool water. Gently blot—do not rub—to avoid distorting the print. Allow the bag to air dry fully before using again.

Leather Accents:
Keep the leather pieces conditioned 1–2 times a year with a leather conditioner suitable for small goods. Apply sparingly and always test on a discreet area first. Avoid getting conditioner on the canvas.

Drying:
If the bag becomes wet, reshape it and let it air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat (radiators, heaters, hair dryers) and direct sunlight, which can cause fading or drying of both canvas and leather.

Storage:
Store the bag in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ideally, keep it inside a breathable dust bag to protect it from dust and prolonged light exposure. Ensure the bag is empty and not squished under heavy items to maintain its structure.

Avoid:
Extended exposure to heavy rain, high humidity, oils, perfumes, makeup, and dyes from dark clothing that may transfer onto the canvas or leather.

The independent ethical workshop was founded by Kevin, a Kenyan man who had himself faced economic disadvantage. His experience shaped a workshop committed to creating opportunities for others facing similar barriers.
